“Super Heroin With or Without E”

The Sand Ninja is a diasporic warrior hailing from Ninjastan who fights against neo-colonialism. During the day (and some nights), she is a professional Gold Digger. She hustles money from her adoring fans to fund her struggle against oppression and her war against bad culturally colonized fashion. Exile, her family debt, as well as financial and language constraints keep her isolated from her homeland, people and culture. She constructs an identity made up of her own melancholic recollections of her people as well as a pan-"middle eastern" look created by Western projections and stereotypes. It's difficult to pinpoint where Sand Ninja was born, but she stands for the freedom and liberation of her "people" be they South Asian, North African, etc…Her liberation strategy is "By Any Means" even if that means using her sexual powers. She is pushing 40 (or beyond) and still stunningly gorgeous, with a belligerent temper. Cultural critics have coined phrases about here such as "Sand Don't Crack" and "Olive Green is Fighting Mean".

My prince Has Come - THE SAnd ninja x abu Nwa al-compton (2019)

A love letter exchange between her Ninjaness and Sheik Al-Compton (Arabian Prince), a unification of Ninjastan with Funkistan, rose flavored pomegranates dipped in chocolate and spice, subversion and perversion.

This is a musical manifesto to get revolutionary and risque— a soundtrack to a sexy, nasty decolonization of bodies, minds, souls. A call to join the ElectroSWANA orgiastic militia.

 

SAND NINJA: NINJASTAN TAKEOVER (2018)

On the eve of Lailat al-Miraj, Sand Ninja “hijacked” the late night club Discostan with a collaborative performance merging connections between two distinct forms of subcultural performativity -  House and Ball and Roo hozi - with queer and SWANA (South and West Asia, North Africa) dancers styled with original designs by fashion designer Hushi and the crowd encouraged to cheer the dancers on by tossing Ninjanar, the official currency of Ninjastan.

The Last Centerfold, 2009 Turn Ons: Unibrows, sand surfing from east LA to the sands of Dubai, waterboarding...tsk, masturbating...tsk, pissing on Benzes and Starbucks and you if you're good. She loves falafels, belly dancing, threading, henna, stomping out cops and grunts, stealing men away from prissy white girls, stealing chicks away from prissy white boys, Arabian Prince, Egyptian Lover, The Iron Sheik (both of them), explosives, ak-47s, gold, stilettos, stealing money from whitey and funding guerrilla movements, hairy chests, backs and pussies.

Decolonize Your Brow, 2006-2010 For several years, the Sand Ninja made public appearances and used flirtatious techniques to begin a dialogue on issues of gentrification, land theft and criminalization of the poor while "decolonizing brows" by drawing in a unibrow and giving away small "dime sacks" of sand from her homeland (though no one knows exactly where she is from).
